Ceremony (Catholic Mass):

Church-appropriate attire. Think classic, respectful, and wedding-ready.

Reception (Victorian Safari, Pre-Cholera):

Embrace the spirit of a glamorous Victorian safari expedition. Think linen, khaki, waistcoats, safari jackets, flowing skirts, and adventurous elegance. The key is Victorian explorer before tropical diseases became a personal problem. Capes are optional, but highly encouraged.

You may notice that much of the wedding party will be changing outfits between the ceremony and reception to match the change in atmosphere. It wasn't always like this but it just snowballed and here we are. Guests are welcome to keep the same outfit all day or join in the fun with a second look, whatever feels most comfortable. The bride loves costume changes and dress up and any excuse to be on theme, but you do not have to participate, she just wanted you to know that it was happening because she would be upset if she attended a wedding with a costume change and wasn't aware of it before hand.
